ATTRACTIONS
The Olde Towne Mall at Sandyport - 5 miles Cable Beach Golf Club - 10.5 miles Ardastra Gardens, Zoo & Conservation Centre - 13.5 miles Botanical Gardens - 14.5 miles Prince George Wharf (cruise ships) - 15.5 miles Downtown Nassau - 16 miles Paradise Island - 17.5 miles Nassau International Airport (NAS): Approximate driving time is 5 minutes and distance is 2 miles. Driving directions from Nassau International Airport: Exit the airport to the roundabout. Turn right and continue to the next roundabout onto JFK Dr. Turn left onto Blake Rd. At the end of Blake, turn left onto West Bay St. Hotel is on the right. Getting there: There is no regular shuttle service from the airport so the easiest way to get to the hotel is by taxi. Fare is $5–$15 USD for the first 2 passengers plus $3 USD for each additional person. Rental cars, Town Cars, and limousines are more than $36 USD. Fees subject to change without notice. Rental cars are available online. Getting around: The easiest ways to get around are by taxis and public buses, also known as jitneys. The #10 bus comes by the front door and heads to downtown shopping and tourist sites for fares of less than $5 USD. Water taxis cross from behind the Straw Market in Nassau to Paradise Island, for return fares of $5–$15 USD. Fees subject to change without notice. Water taxis and jitneys stop running at dusk. Scooters are also a popular way to tour and rent for more than $36 USD. Fees subject to change without notice. Bicycles are not recommended because downtown rental sites normally cannot deliver them to the hotel but bikes can be rented once downtown for $16–$25 USD a day. Fees subject to change without notice. Driving British-style (on the left) along narrow streets and through roundabouts is daunting for most visitors so if going longer distances, taxis may be best. Island-hopping is possible through Bahamas Ferries which runs catamarans to out islands including Eleuthera and Harbour Island from Potter’s Cay between the old and new Paradise Island bridges. Or visitors can travel as the locals do, on mailboats which leave for the out islands from Potter’s Cay or Prince George Wharf, but passage can run on “Bahamas time” (slowly) and cargo can include livestock. Return fares for both ferries and mailboats are more than $36 USD. Fees subject to change without notice.

AMENITIES & SERVICES
What to expect: Compass Point is one of several boutique resorts developed by Chris Blackwell of Island Records. The clientele is mostly romantic couples, with occasional celebrities and families. Designed by Biba-clothing founder Barbara Hulanicki, the resort buildings are terraced on a 1.5-acre hillside and painted in the rainbow of bright colors characterizing the Bahamas' annual Junkanoo festival. Amenity highlights: Large rocks and small, sandy cove beaches, one 75 feet long and the other 25 feet, flank the hotel's dock over turquoise Atlantic waters. To the west, accessible by a 50-yard walkway, Love Beach curves 1.5 miles around a point. Situated behind a whitewashed stone wall 10 feet above the ocean, the hotel's swimming pool has a shallow children's section and a deck with cushioned lounge chairs. Insider tip: A thatched shelter on the end of the hotel's 100-foot dock provides a tranquil spot for enjoying sunsets, contemplating the ocean, and watching stars at night.

Flowering gardens, thick hedges, and palm trees surround the resort's cottages and cabanas, which are painted in vivid tropical colors. Guests seeking sand and turquoise waters can bask in Compass Point's own small coves or head to neighboring Love Beach, popular with snorkelers. The resort also has an oceanfront restaurant and bar and a freshwater pool. Compass Point Studios, a legendary recording facility, is next door.
